Sanger Design Guidelines
Recognizing that its dated zoning ordinance was not providing the City with the tools needed for good design, the City contracted with Collins & Schoettler to prepare Design Guidelines.
Design guidelines are flexible and work to supplement the hard and fast standards of the Zoning Ordinance.
The Sanger Design Guidelines addressed various types of development and planning issues, including:
-Neighborhood Design
-Single Family Residential
-Multi Family Residential
-General Commercial
-Downtown -Industrial
-Special Situations
Following adoption of the Design Guidelines the City was recognized with an award by the Central California Chapter of the American Planning Association.
