Sanger General Plan Update
Sanger is a growing community a few miles southeast of the City of Fresno. Looking to capitalize on this advantageous position, the City retained Collins & Schoettler to update its General Plan and implement new development standards to help shape the community’s future. In addition to standard elements, the updated included the City’s first Environmental Justice Element.Key issues addressed in the General Plan included new Highway Commercial development along State Route 180, revitalization of the downtown area, addressing a shortfall in parks and implementing traffic-calming strategies in the City’s street network, among others.
