Southwest Exeter Specific Plan/EIR

One of the Valley’s most attractive communities, the City of Exeter was concerned about heavy growth pressure occurring in a large area on the west and southwest edges of the community. Long-conscious of the need for quality growth, the City hired Collins & Schoettler to prepare a Specific Plan to establish strong smart growth design policies and standards for the planning area. Collins & Schoettler worked with a citizen’s committee to establish goals, objectives and standards for the planning area. The resulting plan will facilitate high quality growth with a strong mix of residential and commercial development, strong street connectivity, narrow, tree lined streets that encourage pedstrian and bicycling activity and open spaces, including trails along area waterways.
